The 9th of november was my birthday, and those of you who thought I was sitting alone, eating cake, feeling sorrow for myself, missing Norway etc.. you were wrong! You couldn`t have been more wrong actually! I was actually FOOLED in to thinking I was spending the day with only a few of my new friends, and when they didn`t answer my text messages, I saw myself spending the evening with my co-delegate and one more friend. Which I actually didn`t mind! Birthdays aren`t the same after 27 years :P
Well, I was sort of tricked into thinking that we were going to visit my friends cousin, which I found a bit odd, since it was late at night, and we were supposed to go out dancing.. But, hey, some cousin wanted to meet us, and who am I to say no? This cousin lived in the center, in an apartment. Outside his building I saw a motorbike that looked a lot like one of my friends` bike. Weird .. but of course, he`s not the only one with a bike like this!
We entered the apartment, there were no lights, I could hear someone whispering in the dark, the lights came on, and about 30 people shouted " Surprise, Happy Birthday!". No cousin, but many many friends :) What a happy moment! :) Arezo, Marcela, Nataly, Jason, Juan Gabriel, Andres - and many many more, had planned this for days! They had bought me a cake, flowers, wine, and had arranged this party for me:) At midnight, when I turned 27, I had to blow out the candles on the cake, and say some words.
I was very emotional at this point, and wasn`t able to speak spanish .. so we decided that Arezo would translate what I said, from norwegian to spanish.. And of course we couldn`t do this without a twist.. :

Everyone was screaming of laughter, even though they didn`t understand what I was saying, I guess they understood that we were joking..
It was an amazing evening/night, with fantastic people, good music, dancing and good friends! I couldn`t have asked for more!!!!!
